Begin with your brief
Share your floor plan, location, household needs, preferred style and budget. Confirm whether your location and scope can be supported.

YOUR HOME JOURNEY
A clear brief makes better decisions possible. Here’s the journey to discuss with your designer.
Share your floor plan, location, household needs, preferred style and budget. Confirm whether your location and scope can be supported.
Discuss room layouts, storage, finishes and lighting. Review references and prioritise the details that matter to you.
Review the itemised scope, material specifications, payment terms, timeline and responsibilities in writing.
Confirm site readiness, approvals and progress checkpoints. Agree inspection, snag resolution and any applicable aftercare terms.
MAKE EACH STEP REVIEWABLE
| Milestone | Review together | Keep a record of |
|---|---|---|
| Brief and feasibility | Location, dimensions, household needs, priorities and likely scope. | Site information, retained items and unresolved constraints. |
| Design development | Layout, storage arrangement, services and proposed appearance. | Drawing versions, selected references and requested revisions. |
| Specification approval | Materials, finishes, hardware and itemised inclusions. | Approved samples, product codes and exclusions. |
| Readiness and execution | Permissions, access, procurement and vendor responsibilities. | Schedule, progress checkpoints and written change approvals. |
| Inspection and handover | The completed scope against the agreed drawings and specification. | Snag list, responsibility, closure plan and applicable care or warranty documents. |
WHEN PLANS EVOLVE
A new appliance, an altered finish or an unexpected site condition can affect more than one item. Ask for the revised drawing, cost and schedule impact before approving a change. Keep the accepted version with your project records so design and execution teams are working from the same information.
For occupied homes, confirm how access, working hours and protection will be managed. Where multiple vendors are involved, identify the person responsible for each interface rather than assuming one vendor will complete another’s preparation work.
A NEW CHAPTER STARTS AT HOME
PLAN WITH CLARITY
Review the scope, measured layouts, material and finish schedule, hardware specification, quotation, responsibilities, payment milestones and project-specific schedule in writing.
Request the revised drawing and the cost and schedule impact before approving the change. Keep the accepted version with the project records so everyone is working from the same information.
